Working with Challenging People

Some people just press your buttons. For whatever reason, you react differently to them and they do not react well to you. But you must work with them and often rely on them to be able to deliver successful results in the workplace. This 90-minute online seminar is focused on understanding the dynamics of your relationships with challenging people so that you can develop strategies to work successfully with them.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define what “challenging” means in the context of workplace/interpersonal relationships
  • Recognize how your natural skills and aptitudes, communication style, individual perspective, and gender may play a part in challenging relationships
  • Discover how empathy and curiosity can be used as strategies to help you manage challenging situations
  • Begin to develop an action plan to create more effective working relationships with challenging people

I truly do enjoy these sessions-the discussion that is prompted by the breakout rooms is great. I look forward to attending more of these in the future.
